Detecting passive voice with 100% accuracy is a resource intensive and slow process. Our customers have always valued the speed of our service, and we aim to continue to be as fast as possible.
ReadablePro's current passive voice detection algorithm is very quick, but can result in false positives. However, our intention is to highlight potential instances of passive voice.
The idea is to make it quick and easy for an author to see areas which may require editing. We are not trying to suggest to authors that every item we highlight must be an error that needs correcting.
If you prefer, you can turn off 'Passive voice highlighting' in your account preferences.
