# Does Readable support non-English languages?

Readable uses several readability scores for our unique A-E grade. This is best used for the English language.

For other languages, we include the **Lix and Rix readability formulas **in our offering. This has proven to be useful for non-English languages. You can read more about this in [our article on Lix and Rix](https://readable.com/blog/the-lix-and-rix-readability-formulas/). This will detail which languages have been validated. 

Languages which use glyphs or different punctuation rules to English aren't currently supported.
